Unless he is talking about the Ranger/Paragon Barrage build that uses Find Their Weakness! and Barrage.

...or is it Go For The Eyes!?

I'm a Nec and my only concern with using Sab's builds is lack of interrupts on some tougher areas (ie: Frostmaw). Maybe I should be one of the '3' Necros.

I guess it is a good farming combo, but not suited to certain situations??

Only on the rare encounter when Barbs and MoP are actually on the correct target(s). Much more often, MoP is just wasted (unless microed, but then why not just get a human curser?), and Barbs lands on the called foe instead of the foe that the minions are hitting.

Realistically, heroes are downright dreadful at SS. Sabway works becaue the minions distract the mobs and heroes are godly at Death Nova.

I run a Dual Attune Invocation Sousuke, my own variation of the N/Rt SS, and a jagged bomber.

I normally pve with a friend (you know who you are )and he runs in addition to my heroes, a snare ele, a BHA ranger, and an RC monk.

I find that it depends on my character type.

For the dervish I run Xandra as a Weapons of Fury, Ancestors Rage, Splinter Weapons and an assortment of other channeling spells. I have Livia as a N/Rt doing the ritualist restorer bit. I switch between Olias doing Jagged Bones and Zhed do Meteor Shower. I then add in 2 warriors a ranger and a healer henchmen.

For an Elementalist I run Master of Whispers as a BiP necro, Talkhoro as a Prot and Olias as an MM with the 2 Wars, 1 Ranger, 1 Healer henchman.

In Hard Mode I generally run three necros heroes, switching Master of Whisper's and Olias' secondaries for whatever other utility I need them to have.

In Normal Mode I'll use anyone. Including Zenmai and Anton. I performed a few tests and found Anton a Locust's Fury build which outdamaged any of the hero warrior builds I tried out on the Master of Damage. I do have favourite heroes to use but they change depending on what profession I'm playing. When I play Rit, I like to take Anton with his Locust's Fury build because it turns Normal Mode into Splinter-Lulz Mode. When I play Warrior, I love taking Kahmu, my Orders Dervish (thanks Racthoh ), General Morgahn, and Razah.

For vanquishing, my guildie and myself generally run..

Guildie - warrior/puller with 3 Sab's necro heroes

Me - fire ele + explosive growth Rt/N (more minions ) + prot monk + another fire ele/nuker.

Once the minion army gets rolling, anywhere with exploitable corpses is almost retardedly easy.

Yeah, the curse necro hero in the sabway build doesn't do all that much good and doesn't synergize particularly well. I'd replace him with a splinter-barrage ranger or SF ele.
A better way to boost the damage output of the minions is to use (what else?) Ursan Blessing (ursan roar).

Also if you're getting annoyed by the MM falling behind all the time (and sometimes stopping outside aggro range to reapply enchants on the minions) replace Jagged Bones with another elite, that'll lower the MM's workload and allow him to keep up better.

I've played a Necro since April 05. First char I made 5 days after release. I've played Battery, MM, Mbomb, SS curse, Echo curse/bat, I can pretty much recite every skill in the Nec line. Nerf to Soul Reaping was virtually meaningless to me, lots of QQ over nothing big.

Normally I run two MM Necs with prot monk. Areas without many bodies, two SH or SF eles and Prot monk.

But this Sabway, I've been running it for a week in Vanquishing runs and some NM play and well, It works. I'll give it that. but, I'm not in anyway impressed with it. Life doesn't heal for much given the limited Att level of the Necro. Splinter doesn't do the dmg it should for the same reason. The MM nec tend to "linger" far too often due to Death Nova. Often he ends up just far enough behind that the minions are a little late in the fight. This causes them not to hold the amount of aggro that minions normally do. This often leads to unorganized free for all battles that are far more dangerous to the team, especially in HM. See MM die and its OH F#$% when those little guys turn on you.

While Reckless Haste can be a good option, a very viable skill synergized with SS, Barbs is just a plain waste of skill slot. +16 dmg is nil compared to Echoed SS. Mark of Pain in this situation is not triggering as often as it should had you brought to straight MMs. MoP can easliy wipe a group with 18 to 20 Minions. SO, in short sabway, not as good as you think. Razah would do a much better job as a resto Rit, since he is, well, a RIT! NO Soul Reaping does NOT make up for the FAR lower attributes of a Nec pretending to be a Rit.

2x savannah heat with meteor showers and a woh hybrid. If the area is somewhat difficult I run 2 angelic bond paragons (seriously they are amazing in pve) and a woh hybrid. As a warrior I usually run DSlash with TNTF and SY!

On the rare ocassion that I monk I tend to run hexes on the heroes.

I like running a B/P or Crit B/P, and I'll take 2 Hero B/P's and 1 Hero Crit B/P. After the pets engage and the various B/P's are locked, you can mass move the remaining henchmen to join the frontline. Spells rarely get off.

Whenever I do HM, I typically go 3 necro.

I like to use Sab's 3 necro build whenever i cannot be bothered to think, been using it a lot capping elites recently.

Otherwise my heroes kinda get left with odd builds, but it all tends to work. Although you can't go far wrong with a fire ele using Mind Blast
